Delving In

Alright, I have decided to start collecting my thoughts and photos of the hobby work that I am doing. Hopefully, this process will keep me on track and focused and the pile of unpainted metal and plastic in my own personal Gaming Cave will diminish in front of our very eyes. At the moment I have at least four projects going.

1. A Warhammer 40k Ork army. This was supposed to be done with a group of friends where we would all keep working at the same pace and playing games at whatever point value we were all at. That part seems to have died, but I do have the army at a point that I am almost happy with. There are just a few things that I really want to do in this space, but this is a back burner project right now.

2. Flames of War. I am actively working on my American Armored Rifles of the 2nd Armored Division. I have all of the infantry painted and based. My Sherman platoon is done. All that remains are the Scotts and Priests, and a dozen or so half tracks. My goal is to have these all done in time for a game at the end of the month.

I also recently purchased a German Panzer Division off ebay, assembled and primed and ready for painting. Then there are the British paras and Soviet Strelk horde still in the packaging waiting.

3. Starship Troopers. Ahh, probably my favorite game right now. I have sizable armies for Mobile Infantry, Arachnids, and Skinnies. Almost all of it is unpainted and much of it is still unassembled. I am planning a big game though in March, so these will be back in the forefront of my workbench soon.

4. Automobile Combat. I don't have a rules system in mind for this yet. Possibly "Axles and Alloys" or "Warlands". But for now, I have terrain to work on and matchbox cars to modify.
